Keep Looking...It's There

Photographer: Kelli Morales
Model: Sunnie Morrison, Director of First Class Productions
In 2010 I started a hobby of photography that I fell in love with and turned it into a business. The woman pictured in these images, Sunnie Morrison (Director of First Class Productions) was the one person that gave me a chance at something I had absolutely no idea at what I was doing at the time. Because of her I learned so much while shooting photography when capturing images of her, her models, her events, and more. From then on my business began to flourish down in South Florida by word of mouth and just about every weekend I was booked with shooting families, models, and events. For two years I was amazed at how my clientele continued to grow. Along with Sunnie, the two individuals that pushed me the most and believed in my passion was my husband and my best friend Sandy.
In 2013 my family and I decided to move to Georgia because of my husband's job relocation. This move would take place the beginning of March. March 1st to be exact. In February of 2013 I lost a piece of my heart (Sandy Christine Suarez)...My best friend, my sister, one of my number one supporters. And with this loss I believe I lost a bit of the passion that I had when it came to photography. Moving out of the state that showed me so much support in my work while also losing a best friend it took a toll on me. We were in Georgia for four years and I didn't push myself like I did when I was living back in Miami.
So forward we are in 2017 and my family and I have moved back to Orlando, Florida where we started our family. Being back in Florida has brought a little more spirit into my passion for photography again. Being able to travel down to Miami which is only three hours away and shooting where it all began with such loyal clients lifted my spirits like no other. It has pushed me to go full force in building my business back to what it was. Though some may say we lose passion for things at times, I don't think that is true at all. Sometimes we just need something to remind us that it is still there and spark it back up. We never lose it, we just need to find it again. Keep looking, it's there. I think I have found it.

The most amazing little human I know turned three this past week.
Her personality has flourished, she is my little smarty pants, she has become super independent and half the time does not want our help with anything...and I don't know how I feel about that just yet. :( She is the most beautiful little human that I know and we love her beyond words! Wishing our babygirl an amazing new year!!

Play dates have become something that both KC and I look forward since living here in Georgia. Being a stay at home mama and living in an area where you don't know many people..once you find your tribe that you hang with, it is essential that you spend time with them in order to continue to build a friendship. And I speak for both the kids and myself.

"Playdates makes your child feel as if they have a life outside the home....and us stay at home mama's too."

Playdates allow interaction for the kids to be around other peers and help them work on their social development. It also gives me my "mommy time" to have adult conversations. Not being in a corporate world setting this time spent with other mamas help keep us sane.

Sasha.....This mama right here is always taking the initiative to set up our mama/daughter playdates. And I so love her for it! This Friday morning we headed out to Chestatee Wildlife Preserve & Zoo . This was our first time out there and the girls loved seeing the animals. My child, of course, wanted me to hold her for the most part because there were chickens and some other form of bird running around and she was not having it. While Sasha's Kennedy loved every single part of it and had a ball chasing after the chickens lol!

The zoo had a number of animals that included white tigers (which we didn't see because they were sleep), lions, leopards, emu's, alpaca's (which I will continue to call llama's), wolves, zebra, and more. Although the animals are a bit far away from where you are standing in order to see them it was a good experience for the girls and they Kennedy loved the part of feeding the chickens and emu's.

I made it a point to bring my camera this time...and for future playdates to capture every moment of the girls together for KC's keepsakes when we move. 😩 I am so glad I was able to capture these moments! Thanks for the invite Sasha!! We love you and Kennedy!

Love Yourself to Love Your Tribe To The Fullest

These four right here are my world. I never thought I would be so blessed to have an amazing husband and three beautiful and "off the charts" awesome children!
God outdid himself with this plan!
This past weekend we traveled to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to spend some cabin life time together. Over the past couple weeks I have not been feeling myself health wise, and my husband has continued to tell me to go to the doctor. But, personally I absolutely try to avoid going to a doctor by any means necessary.
Never been a fan.
But the past couple days has been a bit difficult and while spending time with my family, watching them and not being able to do certain things and enjoy the moments that were presented it made me realize that mama needs to take care of herself in order to make sure my tribe is good and to enjoy them.

I live for these four...and I plan to live a long life to make sure I don't miss a beat!

While on our Thanksgiving vacation to Disney I was able to sneak in some time to meet up with a client...or rather friend and her family that I have always loved working with.
I believe in 2013 I was able to shoot this family minus little Levi at Old Town in Kissimmee for a Carnival shoot! And that was and always will be one of my favorite shoots. But I was finally able to get a chance to update their family portraits with the newest addition.
Yes...he is two but he is a new addition to me as it was my first time meeting the handsome little guy.

We met up at Walt Disney World's Boardwalk and it was an awesome shoot!
From photos on the boardwalk to photos on the beach.
They always make my job easy.
Thank you again for choosing me to capture your family memories!

Dear Self: I Am Enough

Monday, November 14, 2016

As a stay at home mama I start to think a lot about how much I actually contribute to our family. And most of the time this begins with me thinking about contributing the money aspect of things. Since 2007 I have been a stay at home mama with the exceptions of working for two years once both my boys began grade school and my photography business on the side. I have to admit that during the time that I worked while my boys were in school I felt more accomplished as a mom while bringing in a paycheck and taking care of the kids and household chores. And then came news of bringing another life into the world. We were blessed with one more blessing...a baby girl! And then we got news that we would be relocated to Atlanta for my husband's job. So along with the baby girl and the big move to Atlanta came becoming a stay at home mama again.

Once again I started to think staying at home with my littles was not enough because now I was not bringing the income in that I had been contributing before. And then I was reminded that its not about the money. Its about the time, the effort, the love and so much more that we contribute to our families lives.

~While one may provide the financial part of taking care of the family that does not mean that they do not do enough in other ways of raising their family.
~While one may provide caring for the family by staying at home and little financial contribution to the family that does not mean that they do not do enough for the family.

Our babies depend on us for ALL things! It's not about the money or the material things. Keeping a routine schedule in place, making sure they get their favorite (and sometimes not so favorite) meals daily, teaching them daily, taking them to their soccer game or their gymnastics class, playing with them, discipling them, staying up with them while they are not feeling so well, kissing that scratch they got while playing to make it all feel better, wiping their tears and bringing that smile back to their faces, cuddling and watching their favorite movie with them....are just a few things to name that brings so much to not only those little ones that need you but it should also bring a sense of accomplishment to us mamas and a relief to know that our family is being taken care of in every way possible!

When you see that smile on our families faces, just know and always remember:

We are enough.

We do enough.

We have enough.

When In Florence....

Tuesday, November 8, 2016

This is a sponsored post. All opinions in this post are 100% mine.

While on our trip to Rome my husband and I made sure that we headed out to Florence for a day to make sure we checked off the one thing that was on our bucket list....
The Statue of King David by Michelangelo

This masterpiece is a must to see once in everyone's lifetime!
It was still so surreal!
Being able to see one of the greatest masterpieces in today's history was beyond amazing and what made it even better was that we did not have to wait in such a long line!

During my process of creating our itinerary I made the best choice in booking our tours through Viator!

With such a big crowd and so much disorganization around, Viator was the exact opposite. One thing I was skeptical about was not being able to find our guide. But thank goodness Viator was so organized and prepared for each tour that we did. When they say to "Skip the Lines"in your booking choices.... you do just that!! We met our guide right outside the Accademia Gallery and she led our group right into the gallery.  I was so relieved we did not have to wait in long lines like so many did!

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the was great! Once the tour was done she also helped us figure out how to get to our next destination.
If you are ever in need of booking activities, tours or things to do make sure you check out Viator! All three main tours that we did throughout our Italy trip were through Viator and they did not disappoint!
They are great at what they do!

Check out some of our trip to Florence, Italy!

The bullet train that we took from Rome to Florence was an awesome first time experience. Traveling at a high speed of 250 mph we got there in about an 1 1/2 hours which would normally take about
3 1/2 hours.
